I’ve had these tires for about two years and I thought they were okay until I saw these cracks in the sidewalls. I keep these tires only to their max rated psi. Is the tire drying out and if so does it need to be replaced?
If you keep using it, it will fail spectacularly. Just hope you aren’t going fast, or really riding at all when it happens.
I’d replace as soon as you can. Dry rot it’s the worst. Especially when the tread looks good enough to keep going.

Just to get the doubt out of my head, I’d switch them.

I would ride them, but I’m cheap.

I’d say let it ride 🤣. Depending on how nice your bike is. Like I was riding on 30 year old tires on my bad weather bike until I got a puncture.

Smear some rubber cement into the sidewallls and send it.
Unless you’re.

Best to get new, but I have ridden much worse at speed. Would not be smart, but could last you a couple months if you wanna save up.

Max rated pressure is likely more than what you need, but that’s probably not the source of these cuts/cracks. Nonetheless, do what makes you comfortable; I’ve ridden tires much worse than that without issues.

No worries, people are too worried about those cracks, these have a good 2 years to go still

they did look like that a year ago
and people saying they will explode or go out spectacularly – maybe, if they are tubeless 😀
Thanks for all the replies guys. I think I’ll go ahead and get some new tires. Any recommendations?
