Been debating the last few days which bike to get, I’ve been eyeing the new Canyon Endurace Allroad which comes in just over $1550 in the US for me. I saw this cannondale synapse 4 for $1400 (shipping included in price). I’m relatively new to cycling but would want to invest in a decent bike for the next few years, will mostly be riding on asphalt. Could I get some advice on which would be a better fit/better value?

Forgot to mention it’s a 2023 synapse 4!
Synapse is Carbon, so will be lighter and possibly more comfortable. Synapse also technically has the better group set I guess? And it’s made by a more ‘premium’ brand.
If the Synapse is new and you’re getting warranty, that’s a no brainer. If not, I’d probably still take the Synapse, but you’ll have to weigh up not having warranty yourself.
Have you checked if the Synapse is the right size?
Okay so I have actually had both bikes and feel like I can weigh in on this. I have had two cannondales, and they are quite possible the worst bikes I’ve ever had. I’ve never had more issues than I did with them. On the other hand, I have a canyon and I absolutely love it. The specs on the synapse may be better, but I feel like the canyon is an all around higher quality bike.
