Title says it all. I’ve got an annoying tick/click coming from somewhere. This is about a month old bike, so could be a lube issue with the build. Titanium frame, carbon fork, everything else aluminum (stem, wheels, seat post, etc)

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

-Serviced bottom bracket: removed crankset, cleaned, regreased (did not remove threaded bb)
-Serviced headset: removed headset bearings, cleaned, regreased, even greased the steerer tube on the fork where my stem connects
-Greased dropouts where wheel contacts
-Drive train isn’t the issue: had an obnoxiously loud jockey wheel that I removed and greased (both), waxed chain just in case
-Seat post is greased, saddle points where saddle rails connect to seat post is lubed
-Pedals have been serviced and regreased
-Removed SRAM UDH and greased between where the UDH meets the frame
-Happens on the trainer and on the road, so I suppose we can eliminate the rear wheel as a suspect

It’s a very distinct click. Not loud, but definitely there. It’s inconsistent which makes me eliminate the drivetrain as a source of the issue. The pedals are used, but were serviced prior to installation, my saddle is off of another bike, but I never noticed it making noise on that bike. Further, I can’t seem to find a particular situation where it is more pronounced. More power through the pedals, yes, but even that isn’t consistent.

Any suggestions, places to look, or thoughts are welcome. Only thing I haven’t done is remove the threaded BB or remove the saddle and lube where the rails meet the saddle. Never had that be an issue, but the list of potential services on this bike are running low. Happy to answer any questions too..

does it happen when pedalling in both directions? use your quick link as a reference. does the click always happen at the same spot with relation to your quick link? or does it always happen in the same spot with relation to your cranks? if it happens in the same spot with relation to your quick link, it might be a stiff or bent link, or maybe quick link itself not aligned properly. if it happens in the same place in relation to the crank, then it might be something in the BB, crank, or pedal

I’d check the bb cups. Those even being a little loose could cause some clicking and inconsistency based on which one or both is loose and how much.

Please check your chainring bolts. It may not be it but it’s worth a refresh. I chased a click for quite awhile before checking those. It was a small but meaningful victory lol.
