promax brakes are straight garbage, other than that it’s not a terrible deal

I think you can do better. The alloy frame and fork will be punishing, those brakes are throw away and need an instant upgrade, and a 2×8 Claris isn’t great.

Don’t buy a new bike and only ride it for 2 days

Maybe see if you can work with them on some upgrades in the cost. Also do a bike fit if they offer it prior to purchase

Shimano Claris is also entry level, OP get a higher end bike with better components but used.
