You can still ride it, but please do use caution when doing so.
I bent the lip like this on my aluminum wheels. Rode it many years no problem.
It had 28 spokes so I wasn’t worried about it being weak. Since it was tubeless, I was also expecting leaks but had none.
Just make sure the tire itself was not damaged by whatever hit caused this.
I build wheels for heavy duty taxi bicycles (pedicabs), that’s perfectly fine and is mostly safe to ride, although since you did mention it’s leaking sealant if you push a specific spot, that’s why I deem it “mostly” safe, I would suggest trying to bend it back a bit using a wrench or something, assuming it’s not a carbon rim
I only say this because I’m studying mechanical engineering aswell as build and maintain wheels designed for very high payloads up to 1300 lbs loads, and I do have to do this occasionally
Yeah man I’ve got probably 20 dents worse than that in my wheels.
If it bothers you you can take the tire off and straighten it mostly with an adjustable wrench

Some of the DT swiss rims intended for gravity racing are in fact made from a softer alloy to dent like this rather than imploding half-way through a run.

yes, dont worry. Ive ridden with a rim like this for a year. You wont be able to true it though
I’m not OP, but I want to thank everyone for the replies. I got a good deal on a used Industry 9 wheel with similar damage and was waiting to lace up a new rim, but I’ll mount up a tire and give it a shot.
