I’d try to go on an airline where I can take it as cabin luggage

Due to the shape, I’ve always had to go to oversized baggage to check it. Which is good because that stuff tends to be treated a bit better.
I also have a patch on my case that says it’s a stroller, idk if that helps

Had to take mine to oversize luggage drop off (JFK Terminal 4 Delta) which I always thought was better than the regular baggage handlers. However while I was standing in the security line I watched it fall off the cart they use to wheel the oversize luggage, the handler then threw it haphazardly on top of the other luggage on the cart, it fell off again, he threw it and it missed the cart entirely, then finally crammed it upside down under a couple huge suitcases on the cart. My brain was freaking out but fortunately it landed safe at home. I’m calling this one a win for my Vincita bag but was still painful to watch, good for us these bikes are pretty tough!
