We need to do a clap. The world champion is going to
give us a round of applause anyway. The world champion’s clap. I thought we had a mini
world champion clapperboard. Welcome, everyone. We’re in trouble, we’re
on a slippery slope. The seats can rotate slightly. We have some amazing guests coming. I’ll start with our junior,
our new favorite junior. We always have trouble
deciding between Max and Il. We chose Tilly, who won again today. We’ll talk about it. We’re
glad to have you with us. Our reigning world champion,
who is also mayor of La Tuile. Truly, the jack-of-all-trades, the
Swiss Army knife of roofing, he’s here. Loris, I’m really glad to have you here. It had been a long time since we had
seen each other, at least on this set. So that makes me happy. And Mylan Falk, the youth between the
two, let’s say, the intergenerational who rise to the ranks of the elite. Of course, I’m glad to see you. We had one in Tampon de
Vianne, so that really makes me It’s nice to have you here. Let’s dive right in with topic
number one: junior racing. The junior race is a new race. How do you live From the outside, it really
looks like an elite race. I mean, this junior race
has gotten a little crazy. Honestly, that’s nonsense. You look at the times and say, “OK.” There, really, I was taking
a little nap, I look at the time and I say: That’s not possible. Like, there’s something wrong. Five seconds better than
Goldstone’s qualifying time. And above all, let’s be honest, he was
already driving really fast in qualifying. You know, like, calmly,
you say: They can’t fall. We only have two, they
don’t only have two. They spread it on thick,
but they really pile it on That’s nonsense. Can you hear that? Do you really feel like you’re flat out? Or like, you put it on and that’s it? I don’t ask myself questions. I have to get downstairs, and that’s it. We still see a little
rivalry between you and Max. I feel like it’s still a race
even though it’s already over. Do you, like, check out the
rankings before watching? The others, are you watching
the difference with Max? First, we look at the rankings, then we
look at the difference with Max and see what happens. Yesterday, it was really close
between me and him, so it was intense. No, it makes for nice trips. There, we have to highlight your time. So you could potentially be
fourth in the Elite division. Next year, you’ll be in the Elite. Are you excited already, or are
you taking care of the shopping? race by race? And how does that make you feel? I’ll take the groceries,
one trip at a time. I don’t want to rush things
before I reach the elite level. I’m already happy to be fourth in sports. It’s hard to give an example. You’ve been on podiums as a junior. That transition is tough,
junior elite, isn’t it? Honestly, as juniors, we inevitably
compare ourselves to the elite. because we’re trying to look
at the times, it’s interesting, But first, we inevitably compare
ourselves to the juniors. Because we want to be at the front
of the pack in junior league. Honestly, making it onto the
podium as a junior is incredible. When you reach the elite level,
there’s a really big gap. Everyone is already here, there
are already a lot more people, The times are much tighter.
But what is changing? You’re down the same path,
you know? Yeah, that’s true. In previous years, I used
to say to myself: “Relax, you move up to the elite level, you
perform well in the junior category, You arrive, straight away, it works. It was a bit of a shock,
to be honest, at first. There are so many people on the track,
all the team managers on the sidelines. I don’t know, the approach to
the race is completely different. and that’s what’s interesting. That’s why we see that every time
juniors move up to the elite level, There is a big step every time. It doesn’t work right away, of course. Some are arriving, but very few. And that’s why when they actually
pass by, you realize it and you go: Yeah, the difficulty is what’s tough. Loris, do you remember that stage
of your junior year in Lille? Even if we’re I’m not going to say you’re
old, but it was a few years ago. But do you remember that stage,
that passage, and just marking it? Basically, for me, the big difference was
that we knew we didn’t have the speed. So we were given everything, we
threw ourselves into it, we tried. And from time to time, we achieved
results, but only occasionally. And there, they’re really
on a whole other level. They ask themselves fewer questions;
they have a technique that we don’t have. So they’re always there. They don’t get too carried away
and focus on the important things. They put stress aside: It’s the World Cup, I don’t give a damn.
And they go on and on. And so there we were: “Damn, it’s a
race, the elite runners are here.” I think they’re going
to arrive and pile up. There won’t be any problems because
they’re focused on driving fast. And this is the new generation. You know, like Asa, the
twins, even Jackson, They settle down, live quietly,
and go about their lives. And we weren’t like that, we were
stressed, we were trying to train hard. And frankly, in news of the generation, They have talent and they stick together. Yeah, that’s impressive.
And it’s not just them. There’s also Tyler Waight,
there’s Genti, there’s Oli. There aren’t just three of
them. Yeah, that’s crazy. That’s unfair. It’s all crammed together. That’s the beauty of it. They all pull each other up. So it makes for a nice race.
That’s what’s great about it. When you look at other people,
do you look more at their traces? From Oli, actually, or Assad, what’s
going to happen, or are you watching? Rather the traces of the elite? What inspires you most
about the way you race solo? I don’t really look at their tracks. I look at the tracks that are
moving faster than the others. Who cares who knows. Who cares who knows. I watch the scene that is moving
faster and ask Guet or Teams, and when we compare ourselves with them
and see who is faster in a particular sector. From the outside, there’s not much doubt. We debrief with GoPro and
everything, and he shows us and says: Look, I did it right. He shows us. He is the one who shows us. So he doesn’t look at others. He shows the current world champion. It passes like that. They pull us up. Yeah, it’s crazy. And three-quarters of the
GoPros we take are from juniors. That’s crazy. That doesn’t put pressure on you. You can tell yourself, “Go
ahead, it doesn’t matter.” I don’t care. I’m telling you, the focus
is on the good things. There’s no extra stress,
but yes, there is, but that Very classy. That’s pretty
cool, we’ll make a note of it. So, obviously, your second victory. Well done, congratulations. The only slight downside is that you’ll
have to turn over a small section of the fabric to hide the seam. Not much, you’re enjoying your last years
of school, working on your English a little. There, I’ve already finished school. After that, I have my high school
graduation exam in September, but You’re going to have to work on that
a bit, because I think we’re going to We hope to see you on the podium often,
and we’re looking forward to seeing you again soon. You’re breaking my heart, aren’t you? Yeah, I’ve made good
progress, it’s not bad. I’m just teasing you. Among men, you win. It’s the same with women who
are on the rise and winning. Stressful class with Rosa Azir. Same here, we have an incredible density. Let’s talk briefly about the women’s race. For me, the run of the day was It was made by a woman, Nina Hoffmann. which still took almost two
and a half seconds, three seconds to everyone. She had a solid run. It’s the same thing. Now it’s become We see Valley, who was dominating,
climbing onto the podium. She is the overall leader, and
she has tears in her eyes because that she wanted to win, and that’s all. It’s frustrating that it’s come to this. These races still leave a
lasting impression and become a show in themselves. It really raised the bar. The young people pulled everyone out.
I think she tried to put some in. Before, you could be conservative and
it looked like she was going to cruise. Now they don’t make any mistakes,
they really spread it well. and the show is really cool. I couldn’t watch the
race, but I’m not going to say things I don’t know, but it’s
nice to see people doing that. And Vali, I have a slight suspicion
as to why she’s struggling a bit. And I think she’s starting to get bikes that work and trying to
make the bike really comfortable. And Vali is still into
this whole dynamism thing. And back then, she drove harder
than I did, you know, at Trec. So she has a really sturdy
bike, and when she needs to A little bit like a cat, I
think she might be struggling. She puts herself at a slight disadvantage
somewhere, perhaps not enough. be open-minded about it. I think we’re going to have to You see, Canyon, I think he’s really
working hard on the bike and the telemetry and everything. And she’s going to have to get involved
a little bit because she’s too strong. Technically, but now the
bike makes a difference too. You have Lisa with you who
keeps making it to the finals. How is it, exactly? She’s coming, she’s trying to ride
with Roanne, with the juniors. How’s it going? She could Because she’s becoming really
consistent in the finals. Yeah, sure. This is his fourth final
in five World Cups, so it’s Already really classy. She always struggles a bit in Q1. As a result, she finds herself in Q2,
but in the end, she makes some good runs. really solid in Q2 every time.
And she’s through to the final. So that’s the best there is. And then, for girls, I think it’s
pretty much the same as for men. It’s like junior girls arrive very
young with a high technical level. Above the old ones, let’s say. Of course. That’s what pushes the level forward. And the oldest ones are forced to
keep up with the times by doing more technical stuff at the moment. In any case, impressive, Nina. You can still see a It’s just my impression, but there seems
to be a certain tension in the air. creates a bit between Nina, Grace,
and Valli, you can really feel it. that they are there to win. Yeah, they don’t give big
high fives down there. You can see they’re not here to buy tea. Yeah, it’s really like, yeah,
it’s a race, we’re not here to The race, the race, you see
it. Yeah, it’s impressive. Let’s talk about this race, home. Let’s talk about the conditions first. The conditions: there was rain, you left
at odd times, you didn’t take your camera, you didn’t take your tripod, you
didn’t take your flash, you didn’t a little bit different. Did the rain affect it
a little, or not really? Because it was so dry? Did I’m not sure it changed
the phase of the race. Perhaps we were talking earlier
about Treuil-Brosnan, who was perhaps the least fortunate. Want to start? Come on, why not? With Lauryn, I think we started
out five riders behind. I don’t think much has changed between us. After that, there was
another heavy downpour. But I think that about
five riders before me, It started raining and we said to
ourselves: I said to myself: Damn, that’s a bit weird. I don’t know if it will change or what. And it was really starting to rain. We said, “Yeah, okay.” And in the end, it didn’t
feel like much on the track. There were two or three small
roots that were slipping a little. The field at the top, I would say. Otherwise, it didn’t bother me too much. After that, it wasn’t me anymore.
I made mistakes, so it wasn’t It wasn’t really the
rain that bothered me. The proof is that you’re second from last. quite a lot at the beginning, and
Jackson Goldstone ultimately wins. So we hadn’t changed the phase either. from the track during that entire time? No, I think that when we
left, it was more the vision. who was a bit annoying. The top field was still normal, I think. The longer we waited, the more
it started to feel a little the sea grass above that slides. And the break did us good,
along with the sunshine. And then, I think from there,
potentially, it could be almost better in places. That settled the dust a little. And where did Troy go? You saw, the ground was a little black. He was doing little roll-offs. So, I think he was a bit
unlucky in that regard. But the rest, after that, as soon
as the sun came out, it was fine. It wasn’t any worse for us. So if there had been more, more,
it would have been really bad. And we were lucky that, for
once, it was more or less the equivalent for everyone.
Equivalent, of course. I want to talk about falls. We had a lot of falls. It was necessary to tread carefully. We saw Ronan, we’re at Pinkerton too. Pinkerton too. Max Start and Stand.
There are plenty of them. There were still large volumes. There was at least one 10, I heard. When you’re driving, have you ever
had the feeling of saying, “There, I’m really pushing myself to the limit. It mustn’t go to the wrong side, must it? I had it once, but that was it. You surrender. Loris told me he almost
died 47 times on his roller. But not because of the turns. Because of what? Because of me. You’re coming too fast, you’re doing:
There, survival mode activated, long ones, stuff, but it’s me. The trail, in the end,
if you’re where you are Sure, it’ll be fine, it was fine. And just, there are places where
they were safe, and in the end, It started anyway, underneath them. And from there, we saw
a series of mistakes. It was impressive how many people fell. Mylène, 17th, I think. That’s good. Get into this final, don’t
collapse psychologically. That’s going to be a huge boost,
a massive ego boost for the Order. Yeah, honestly, right
now, I’m really happy. First final in the elite division. This weekend, I arrived with just my
mechanic, and we said to each other: We don’t need any pressure, just ride, have fun. I managed to treat myself. Honestly, it’s usually difficult to enjoy
yourself when you’re running a race. We always do it in
training, but in a race, It’s still difficult. It’s hard
to find the rhythm, isn’t it? We try to push ourselves and often
want to go faster and faster. And so we hold back a
little, at least I do. And you make a mistake, then you
try to put twice as much back on. effort when it is not necessary. And then you make more mistakes. And then, to be honest, this weekend,
I even had a rerun in qualifying. And so, I really enjoyed the
two runs I did in qualifying. So that really boosted me, even mentally. Today, I was just there enjoying
myself and had a great time. Incredible track, we agree. If we rank it on the list
of the top 10 tracks. It’s a really nice track
for the first year here. And to come straight out with a track
like that, I think it’s nice of them. It’s great to ride on
beautiful trails like these. How would you rank him overall based
on the tracks we have and have had? In the top three, I think. Top three? Yeah, she’s really beautiful. You’re the mayor, you can’t
talk nonsense like that. Be careful. Me, if they can find a solution
that doesn’t involve so many falls, so that they are a
little more predictable. Honestly, it’s one of the
best tracks I’ve ever had. Is it because it’s not dry? If the conditions are
right, do you think it’s as unpredictable? If you put the turns 30 cm higher,
there will be fewer problems. Like, there were loads of You lose the front, you lose the rear. And it was the same at Ludovia. You see, the first year is the first year. So little by little, I
think they’ll understand and It’s going to get better and better. But it was still incredible
to see for the first year of a such an impressive sight. Honestly, like Loris, for a
first year, it’s already crazy. We couldn’t have asked
for anything better. They may have a few things
to improve, but in any case, It’s still a picnic, though. There’s plenty to make a difference. The differences are still quite
significant compared to other courses. Like the O’Gangs or something. I think it’s still good when there are
tracks with more space between them. That way, it really shows The ones in front are really good. So it’s impressive to see them, even
afterwards, even though I’ve riden them. I see Loris, Jackson,
they’re the main ones, but it’s impressive to see. Before talking about the podium, I
would just like to make a quick aside. Amaury Pierron. I don’t know how he does it. But we all agree that
he broke his collarbone. Yes. We all saw it. Yes, he’s having surgery. I don’t know how the tenth one got there. I’ve made a huge mistake.
And it’s my fault You know, I was the one on
the team who was struggling. You know, like, you were limping and
everything, the other day, a week ago, He broke his collarbone and he’s not
complaining, but not about the weekend. Not once, it’s a bit annoying. Like, you know, a machine. And on top of that, it was a big deal, he
had to make a top 10 list, so we all had it. Well, wrongly so, because we all said:
“That’s it, it’s the season, the weather’s bad.” a cross on the general. Not at all. He drew a circle, like, I’ll be back. It’s still So, maybe it’s not an example
to follow, because you have to even a protocol behind it, etc. But then again, I guess
you’re in the pit with him. I think that when you change, you’ll
say, “What is this crazy person?” I don’t know how he does it. I would like the surgeon to know
so he can take a look, but I know not how he does it. Above all, he didn’t lose at all. He’s a racer, you know. Like, every day, it
annoyed him to be asked. There was no reason:
No, I don’t understand. Damn, that’s annoying. He found everything to be
better and he scored 10. That’s incredible. Did you tell him that you beat him by
four seconds at one point, or not yet? No, I haven’t told him yet. Come back, it’s incredible
what he’s doing. I thought I wouldn’t be here. It really is a world apart for athletes. And apart from the athletes, there
are two other people around you: Loïc and Jackson Goldstone. Who do you want to talk about first? Which one is the most exceptional? Was Jackson Goldstone’s
fourth win in a row? Who’s going to beat him? On which track? How do we do it? It’s complicated. No, but really, I thought
it was going to be the track where he was going to
open for us. Yeah, that’s right. That was his profile. I put it down and said, “Jackson, if
it doesn’t fall, it’ll drop us off.” On the slope, you have to be light on your
feet, a bit like a Canadian, you know. It’s the one where he’s closest. So, you see, like, well,
we can understand how He does it without bringing
them closer together. But at any given moment,
he had a shitty run. We don’t even know. It’s the first time we’ve seen
him make so many mistakes. in what he does, anyway.
He was trying, at least. He was kind of right-wing, kind of
left-wing, and not very quick either. It’s kind of fast, but not fast
compared to what we’ve seen. And Loïc, he’s eternal,
it’s the same thing. I mean, you grew up
watching Loïc, obviously, You see him like a star, there, you’re
racing against him, and he’s still in front, even if it is still in place. There is never a specific
moment when he strays. It’s the metronome. Honestly, it’s impressive. The first races I came to
see, he was already there. After that, even Loris in
Mori was almost there already. So yes, Loïc has always been
there and is still there today. I don’t know when it will end,
but in any case, right now, Honestly, he’s still
at the top of his game. Yeah, it’s powerful, it’s
really beautiful to see. But having worked alongside Momo
and Loïc on the same team, you Take some of the same sauce, mix
it up, and it’s barely different. Honestly, there are similarities,
but it’s kind of excessive. That is to say, beyond the two characters, of the two characters who are, for
you, when you see the racial aspect, Are they the same? Apart from their riding
style, they think alike. in the same way as This desire to be strong, to win. Physically, everything they
can, all the stuff they can put in place to be good, they
do it and there’s no: Damn, I do it, I’m crazy. It’s normal. The normality of doing exceptional things. That’s right. And that’s what’s hard about
Jackson, it’s not the same. It’s the little one, there,
you see, what’s he doing? And he douses it again and he’s on top. He’s up there, yeah. It’s complicated. And continuously, it also tightens. The one who made an impression
on me was Henry Kieffer. Henry Kieffer remains focused. What I find amazing, just like Ti
and Max, is that the more you go The fewer things bother
young people, the better. That is to say, he repaired his bike
with an umbrella, almost two weeks ago. It’s all over social
media, everyone’s there. And then, the following
weekend, he’s there, and he’s It’s pretty amazing to see that. Yeah, it’s nice to see him up front. I’m happy for him. Yeah, I guess so. Just in relation to that,
right now, we’re halfway there. Finally, halfway there. Tomorrow,
there are five races left. What’s the goal? Is some of the general
information starting to sink in? Or do you stay junior to the core, like: Go ahead, who cares? It’s race by race, I pay,
I ride, and that’s it. That’s kind of how it is, because it’s
still a long way to go, it’s a race and it’s not over yet. It’s good to be first in general,
but that’s not what matters. It’s not over yet. I’m
just taking a quick break. Of course, you’re not going
to answer me right away. But next year, elite. There are already two elites. You and Max will be two elites. Can you see yourself growing
with Comment ça, le meuf? There will be four elites? Or will you give yourself time to
think about doing other things? Because inevitably, there will
be people who come to see you. Or you’re happy where you are and
just want to go as far as you can. I feel really comfortable
in this organization. I want to go as far as possible with them. I get along very well with them. The staff is great and everyone is nice. That’s the beauty of it. So the
question hits you right away. Four Elites next year. Let’s go! Honestly, it’s already The more the merrier.
That’s just how it is. It’s like we keep their time,
they help us, we help each other. That’s how it is. Except
they’ll have a better bike. And now it’s going to
be difficult to follow. Because these are juniors. And we give them junior bikes. Have you ever tried
their bikes? No, never. It’s pretty much the same. From a distance, it looks the same. Honestly, it makes me happy to
see this and to be a part of it. They’re really cool, and I think
the team is cool, so it’s nice. The audience is on fire. Loris, you have the general, you
have the world championship title. I asked the question last
week, two weeks ago, in Grécy. Would you rather be world
champion a second time or win in general this year You’re
asking me that question. The general is dead. If you look closely, it has four legs. 200 points, almost 200 points. No, on me, much more. On you, yes, indeed. I’m here. Yes, but you’re not safe.
I’ve got connections. I don’t wish it, but we don’t
wish it under the protection of a injuries, mechanical problems,
there are five races left, there are half of the shopping, at least. But if you think like that, we’ll take it
one race at a time and see how it goes. And the world championships, the track,
I don’t know anything about that. But I was told that it was
really on a slope, a bit unusual. Yes, very unusual. So, so far, I don’t
think it’s favorable, but You see, it wasn’t favorable here. I wasn’t too bad, though. So, we’re going to do everything
we can to try and keep the jersey, But choosing a general, I’ve never
done that, and it would be nice. That would be pretty crazy, actually. Mylan, what are your goals? It’s about stacking up the finals and
trying to be consistent, to be there in This top 30, guaranteed every week? Honestly, my goal is just to run my race. It takes place on the
day of the qualifiers. Is it more important than the final? For me, yes. Actually, I want to race in the final,
so I give it my all on qualifying day. But yes, I try race after race,
to take them as they come and Try to be in the club every time. It’s really tough this year,
the standard is very high. So you have to give it your all every
time, and I don’t take myself too seriously. heading from race to race. This is the recipe, as Loris
says, the junior recipe that looks to function and must be applied. We wish you all the best. See you next week in Andorra. Andorra, of course, a
special little race for you. That’s where you became world champion,
so I guess you want to go back there. return Yeah, it’s a bit You find your Okay, I know. You put a little bit there. No, that’s where you have your basic
reference points for claws and everything else. You know a little bit about it. After that, it’s a roll
of the dice, we’ll see. But it’s already cool to stack
them up here and get some points. and we’ll see where it takes
us. We’ll see what happens next. Thank you. You’re welcome. Keep up the good work. Good luck with Max. I feel like I love this kind of That’s so cool. Yeah, I
love it. That’s the one. And the best part is when I
ask them, “Who’s in front?” There isn’t even It’s me. There aren’t even any questions. I love that. Keep it up, it’s incredible. In addition, with that.
I wish you all the best. Loris, of course, continues to inspire
us with your surfing-style riding. Drift on two wheels like you know how. We love it when you take a little risk. It’s nice to see the famous cat
slipping a little, you know? the hind legs. That’s nice. And Mylan, of course, we
wish you continued success. in the finals with your
Goodman Santa Cruz team, a small team that manages
to do great things anyway now with Lisa and Sac. That’s for sure, even with
Nathan coming back soon. Is Nathan coming back? Soon. Not yet, but soon. Very soon. In any case, thank you
for taking the time. See you next week. The final will be on Saturday in Andorra. Bye, bye, and see you next week. Bye.
