Yes. I have the Scultura 8000, sale frame but higher end wheels and Ultegra Di2 groupset. It’s a great bike.
But my suggestion is of you get a Ike from 99 Bikes have it checked over by a mechanic at another store before going on a long ride. 99 Bikes great prices and the staff are really ice, but I find their in-house bike mechanics can be pretty hit and miss.

Consider spending the extra $900 to get the 5000 version with 105 Di2, electronic shifting is great.

Buy used on marketplace if you can find something in your size. Should find a very nice tri/TT style bike for that sort of money.
I did 2 IM70.3 on a Cube attain 2022 (Allu frame, basic wheels, hydraulic disc brake, mechanical 105).
All I did was mount some basic decathlon aerobars on them.
According to the spec’s, that seems very similar to the Merida Sculptura 4000.
At my first IM70.3, there was a dude who had a basic citybike there.
There were also people with 10k timetrial bikes who were slower than me.
Would I have been faster on a better bike or a TT bike? Definitly.
Was I gonna spend that much money on a sport I didn’t know I was going to like? Definitly not.
If it is your first roadbike (or your first triathlon), don’t break bank on something you don’t know you will like (yet).
As a newbie there is no point in spending thousands on a professional bike. You don’t have the strenght / skills yet to fully utilize it yet.
Start basic, see if you like it, upgrade later when you have more knowledge on what you want/need.
The Merida Sculptura 4000 seems like a great beginner bike and will 100% suffice for a half distance triathlon.
