  1. A big thank you to those that had some advice on our route and our planning.

We departed Oslo on May 27, stayed two nights in Gothenburg along the way, and arrived in Copenhagen on June 6. Three riders, two rentals and one who brought his own.

A fair bit of highway/road riding between the Norwegian/Swedish border and Gothenburg, but drivers were very courteous and patient. Otherwise, plenty of bike paths and an overall fantastic ride.

A shoutout to Birger at One Way Bike Tours in Copenhagen. I dropped a strap into my rear wheel hub and shredded the internal gear hub losing about half my gears. Had to ride a hilly day with only a couple of reliable gears that didn’t slip. They arranged with another rental company to swap out the bike for me in Gothenburg which made the second half of the trip enjoyable instead of miserable.

It was a beautiful ride and I recommend it to anyone that’s thinking about it. Happy to share my route in Komoot or any info for someone planning a trip with overlap.
