The longest stage of the 2025 Tour to France, although not too much to write home about initially until a mini classic would come alive in the final 30 km. The Escapes fighting it out for points at the intermediate sprint at Enoch and the sprinters were extremely fired up for what points remained. Here comes the bunch spritz just behind Jonathan Milan and Binium Germay going shouldertosh shoulder and the yellow jersey comes through as well and so does Tim Malia. Oh, there’s a big fight here. Milan and GMI a massive argument. Chaos had been predicted pre-race. Storms brewing on and above the path towards the final defining climbs of the day. Heading up the Koda to O Pisho, only the survival of the fittest would kick on. Look at the way some riders, Nico, are sprinting. It’s like the end of the race and yet we are still 12 km from the line. [Music] The final 10 kilometers, two climbs with 8% plus gradients before the uphill finish. Sit back and enjoy the show. Pagatcha goes over the top. That means Pagatcha is the virtual king of the mountains of this uh tour to France. Onto the climb the coat throw 800 m flat out. Here goes Kevin Valan. Paul Kan is going to be first over the top of this king of the mountains. He’s going to take the points at the top. One point on offer for that tough little climb. Now we’re only 5 km from the finish. Philipsson trying to hang on. Wengerard starts to strike now. Big acceleration of Yodas Wengerard as he starts the acceleration to go downhill now and put everyone under pressure. Here goes Vlan for the third or fourth time. Jorgensson straight on the wheel. Vlan takes another opportunity. Jorgensson straight away. Only tries to close the gap. 4.3 km of racing to go. It’s a long way to the finish line. Big move on the left hand side of the road. Pagatcha looks. Vulcan goes again to try and win the stage. Vanderpool now starts to open it up. It is such an elite group of riders moving up. Alfalip onto the wheel of Tad Paga. Bengard moves up on the left hand side. There goes Matthew Vanderpool. Vanderpool starts the acceleration. He sees the gantry in front of him. It’s going to be all out between Vanderpool and Pagacha. Vanderpool and Pagacha. Left, right. Vanderpool. Matchy Vanderpool wins stage two. Of [Music] [Music] course, people put me as a favorite, but yeah, if you see which riders were in front on climbs. I think uh yeah, I did a really good job today to be there. It’s a dream uh for a team. Uh the first two days, I think everything else that comes now is just a bonus. Four years between his two tourn stage wins, both golden ones to boot and vinor to the four to complete the podium. Keeping the jersey inhouse, Alperson Dunik happy that is Vanderpool who inherits the famous yellow jersey from Philipsson. The Belgian not left shirtless mind glowing in green. Germay in an alphasent kernic sandwich. An active Pagato picked up enough points for the polka dot jersey as the current king of the mountains. and a home holder of the white jersey, Kevin Vocalan with a 31 second cushion over Joseph Blackmore.
