An intermediate sprint in Stage 3 of the Tour de France 2025 turned disastrous for Jasper Philipsen, who bumped handlebars with Bryan Coquard and immediately hit the ground, shredding the green jersey he’d earned as the early points leader.

After winning Stage 1 and taking the yellow jersey, Philipsen’s TDF 2025 is over. #TDF

And the sprint now starts on the left hand side as Philipsson’s leadout train tried to bring him up onto the wheel of Jonathan Milan. Kaden Groves is the rider is trying to lead him out. Gay is a bit Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa. Philips crashes. The green jersey is down. Jonathan Milan goes through now. He wins the sprint, but behind we hope that Yasper Philipsson is okay. Oh, that’s not good news.
Hard crash there. He looks in lots and lots of pain. From joy to despair in the flash of a second. Yasper Philipsson, the green jersey, the first yellow jersey of this race is left lying in the grass at the side of the road with his green jersey in Tatas and potentially his dream of continuing in the tour to France on a knife edge.
See when the rider from uh Inter Mare, he’s tried to it out. A little bit of turning around there. Just a slight second of touching the brakes. Oh, there he goes. Kokard clipped out.
Looks like the two riders took their hit their bars. Kokar doesn’t seem too bothered. Here we go again. He did. moves across to the right hand side and hits Bars.
Yeah, he didn’t look. Oh, Philipsson hits the ground so hard.

  1. Coquard got chopped by Milan which is why he went right. I expect Coquard imagined Milan's lead out man would peal off, but Milan jumped out instead.

  2. Go those who don’t understand COFIDIS is north of France n told to be on screen every stage on TV it’s not riders fault for doing what they are told

  3. Well the guy with red jersey with yellow stripes bounced the guy in white on his right and that made him go hardly through the left making contact with Jasper…

  4. However harsh and painful it looks , it is nothing but destiny and fate. These kinds of crashes have happened in the past and will continue to happen in the future. Gotta look at bright side that no severe injuries has happened to this awesome rider.
