I have a Restrap bartop bag on my Open UP and after getting annoyed by the rattling and organisational chaos, I set out to design and 3d print a modular organizer. Here’s prototype #1, printed in flexible TPU. Cut outs for pump, multi tool, tubeless plugs, tire levers, electrolytes, house key, and gels on top. TPU tube fits in front of the bag. What do you think? Suggestions for V2?

So you’re taking the whole thing out to get to the lower parts?
Seems like a pain in the arse to have to pull the whole thing out just to access one item, also impossible to do 1 handed whilst riding.
If it’s easy to take out, that looks awesome!
But now I can’t jam in more than the bag is designed to take
Cool design, this looks pretty functional and creative. Thanks for sharing!
Vertical dividers would be better. I don’t carry “once in a while and I’m stopped anyway” type of items on the top tube. Saddles bags are for those.
Fun roject but it doesn’t solve a problem I have.
Looks like a bunch of wasted space
Looks tidy, but not for me. I have tube, multitool and inflater in my saddle bag, top tube is for only things I want when riding- food, sunscreen, ibuprofen, etc.
I just cannot get on with top tube bags- they annoy my knees 😂
But good work and I’m sure it’ll be useful 🙏
Boy do I hope that that’s not salt from your sweat all over your bicycle
My dynaplug racer pro, CO2, and multitool are all in frame storage or saddle bags.
Top tube bags are meant for things you need during the ride and you want to be able to get without stopping.
I am clearly missing how you access all the stuff inside of your “organizer”.
Not a fan. Top tube bag for food. Seat pack for repairs done
Rattling just means you need to pack more stuff in.
I think the wall thickness of your print could be significantly reduced.
Otherwise I would probably just print a bottom insert instead of an entire negative of the inside, that way you still have the organization for lesser used items, but still have the ability to throw random stuff on top.
I love that you’re doing a cool innovative project, but I want to tell you that the real solution is to put all the shit you don’t need while you’re on the bike in a frame bag and use a smaller top tube bag.
