My Trek Domane AL5 Gen 4 (size 56) was involved in an accident with a car at a 3-way stop. The wheel is being replaced, and Trek recommends replacing the fork as a precautionary measure, as it's backordered until the 21st. Does the damage appear severe enough to warrant the replacement and wait?

I know is first world problem, but it sucks that on an accident, parts are back ordered.
