Shimano hg mega range cassettes hold up really well. Old one on top (silver) has been on my bike year round daily commuting 20km and really probably could go for a bit longer. I really recommend these if you're looking for an 8 speed cassette.

I commute with a Canyon Gravel bike for about 3 years now. About 10km each day (sometimes 30km). Have to replace the chain once (lasted about 4000km) but the cassette (11-speed GRX) are still holding pretty well and shifts quite smoothly. I would recommend it for people who wants to ride faster on their commutes.
Can definitely confirm. My Shimano HG31 11-34 served me well for almost 5000km of commuting. Will replace mine now however as my chain (Shimano HG40) will need to be replaced. This 8 speed drivetrain is overall reliable and its components dirt cheap and easy to replace. I commute 100-150km weekly
