I just finished building up this vintage frame with some Sachs New Success components I've been saving. All the stickers had been removed from the frame except the Reynolds. Awesome frame details and Campagnolo dropouts. I outlined the shape of the down tube decal residue in marker see if anybody would recognize it. There's no sign it ever had a head tube badge or decal. Thank you in advance for your insights.

I started riding in the early 70s. This is probably not going to be much help, but the mid to top of the line bikes for most all of the bike manufacturers used Reynolds 531 double butted tubing into the 80s. Also, most had frame geometry similar to what is shown. The shape of the lugs would probably be the best way to identify it, but you would have to go through dozens of bikes to find the ones shown.

  2. I’ve never seen a cable guide like that, that’s gotta be unique to this particular builder.
