Literally crashed 100m from home on the way to a ride. A bag I was carrying got caught in front wheel and over I went.
Initially I thought it was just the disc rotor I had bent but upon removing the wheel I noticed the damage to the fork.
My mate said tis nothing but a scratch i.e. just the lacquer and paint. As suspect not as the back of the fork near the damage feels spongy.
I have a big sportive in two weeks. I’m assuming that if it is cracked that it won’t fixed in and ready 10 days? Would my best option be to look for replacement fork?

I wouldn’t trust that. Replace it, this damage looks like it goes beyond paint.
It’s gonna break, very dangerous
Your mate is trying to kill you. That fork is forked! Is your bike brand new? If yes try to warranty and they might able to replace it for you. Not safe to ride for now.
Yeah, sorry, but that fork is done. A like-for-like replacement is probably the easiest way to get you to that sportive.
That definitely looks broken. New fork time. Maybe check out the whole bike.
fubar!
If you like the look of your face I’d replace it.
Your bike will be fine – with a new fork installed.
Cook d fork in other words it fooked
If you have a local carbon repair shop they could do a rush repair and have it ready.
Enve makes loads of carbon forks that are easy to get. You can also look at used markets, but make sure your sizing is correct.
How much do you like road rash on your face? If so, nothing to worry about.
