Hi guys. I am back. I increased the budget as per everyone’s suggestion here. These are the top 3 options I am able to find around $2K CAD in my size close to me (Ontario, Canada).
I’m very much inclined towards the Commencal however the Top Fuel looks like I can get it for a bargain (say $1500-$1600) leaving me with more money to play (i.e fork upgrade, wheels, etc.). The Siskiu however seems to be the newest and most expensive out of the bunch but in my head it appears to be the safest purchase as per how new it is.
What do you all suggest? Keep looking?
Also I did see a 2024 Trance someone was selling for $2.3K but it sold before I even had a chance to inquire.

I’d be pretty happy with the commencal.. that would just be my pick.
Get a brand new YT. In carbon or aluminum.

Edit: my apologies, I had the wrong budget in my head with these suggestions. The core 1 seems to be in your range.

But if you’re set on used due to the reasons people
Mentioned AND needing an XL, I really like Commencal.
I’m 6’5” and just got a Commencal clash in XL and it’s a fantastic bike. I’d go with the meta
for around 2k nothing stopping you from buying new.
I have a Meta TR and I friggin love that bike. Get the Commencal
Kona process x on jensonusa for stupid cheap…
You can buy that Polygon T8 brand new for $200 less than that listing right now. The Meta is a little sexier but prefer the Fox/Shimano build in the Poly.
For a variety of reasons you should drop the Trek from your list.
I got a meta AM .. Wife’s got a top fuel.
Her bike is definitely faster in xc type stuff, I like my meta for more extreme riding…. Jumps, slabs, bigger features etc (that might be mostly due to the 27.5 wheels vs 29…I still think 27.5 seems big after like 10+ years lol).
Either bike is a solid choice. If you’re more just hitting trails, long distance, and getting into the rowdy stuff once in a while I would strongly consider the top fuel.
crazy how no one is able to read the fact that it sais cad, buying from jenson like some guy said will be really expensive after import fees and yk tarrifs
I would pick the Commencal, if forced to pick one of these.
I saw a 2020+ norco sight A2 in Selwyn for like $1500. It’s a medium and idk if it’s still available.
