Hole under the stem on my Canyon Aeroad

Hello everyone,
I just received my brand new Canyon Aeroad, and looking closer around the stem I noticed a small "hole" just underneath, between the head tube and the cockpit (see attached photo).
Is this something normal on this model? Is this intentional for cable routing, ventilation, or is it an assembly defect?
