217 now the advantage here they’re keeping them very close crash first crash of the race and riders down looks like Ghana to me who may well be on the deck and one rider from the team of picnic post NL crash of Filippo Gana
it’s a oh there’s another crash crash oh Stephan Bisiger is down hit the deck as Well, and with 104 km to go, this breakaway is over. And now comes the sprint. Jonathan Milan opens up. Oh, and Philipsson tries to move Cockar out the way already in the sprints. So, Jonathan Milan, he’s going to easily take it. So, the leader of the King of the Mountains goes on the attack to join up with the rider he was in the breakaway with originally. They’re together now. Benjamin Tomar, Mattea Verse on the attack together again.
36 km an hour they’re doing. Verse kicks hard now. Oh, Benjamin Tomar takes him to the right hand side of the road and they’re on cobble so they can’t get out the saddle. Look at the wheels bouncing all over the place. Verse goes, Tomar goes on the left hand side. Photo finish. Oh, big crash of the breakaway. Both riders in the breakaway are down. [Music] I have never seen that ever, let alone in the tour to France in any bike race I’ve ever commentated on. Look at this for a sprint. B all over the place. Tomah throws the bike and then throws the race away. Little bit of an acceleration. He decides to go forward. Maybe one point might be the difference at the end of this race. They’re looking across. Wenger is going to be the first rider at top the final climb of the day. Wenger takes his first King of the Mountains points of this year’s race.
Around. There’s no hanging around. And the team of Visma have decided to take this race on. Wengerard, Trentine, Enrich Mass all at the front now. Also even Garcia Cortina at the front. Tim Wellins, Pagatcha is there. 63 km an hour and they’ve gone half road to try and split this race a little bit. Echelon forms at the front of this race now. 16.8 km to go. Are the sprinters going to be left behind because this acceleration by Yonas Wengerard and his Visma team have split this race. Jonathan Milan has missed the split and look at the gap. It’s 16 seconds already and this group of favorites have ripped this race to shreds. There’s Oh. Oh. Oh.
Remco is in the group with Meria. He’s missed the split. He’s in the grass.
Attack now of Matthew Vanderpool who is absolutely stamping on the pedals. Tee Bonut senses an opportunity and goes across and maybe Vanderpool fancies the stage win. Three riders go clear. side road up to
crash at the back.
Three riders hit the deck. One of them, I think, might be Ben O’ Connor. We’re just going to check, but three riders just hit the deck at the back of the race going down. And Okconor is one of them. Oh, bad news for the Aussie. Also down is Marin Vandenberg.
Oh, the chain goes out. And here goes the train of Alpacas Kernik. 60 km an hour as Alperson de Kerning get ready to fire the rocket that is Yasper Philipsson to try and take the first yellow jersey of this year’s tour to France. The crowd is incredible here in Le Matthew Vanderbal. Oh, a big touch of wheels and they almost came down. Bidium Gay is right on the barriers. Big move on the right hand side. An attack of the team of Israel Preate. Joe Blackmore I think going to try and win the stage. Philipsson moves. Yasper Phillipsson now fires. Philipsson goes for glory. Philips of Alinda Kernik. Is it going to be a dream yellow jersey? It is. Yes. Phillips wins stage one and takes the yellow.
He was way ahead of everybody. Look at that bike lens between him and Gai. What a sprint that was. And a good sprint from uh Mato Trentine as well in there. One of the oldest riders in the race now. Mate Trentine, the road captain of TUDA, but he doesn’t miss a crosswind, does he? I know he’s lots and lots of experience. Meetto frontine.

Le Tour!
It's foul sprtin from philpsen.
Great finish Jasper. And yet we have some wishful thinking fans that MVDP or WVA have a chance at the green jersey.
1:18 how are you even this bad like bruh
What a clusterfuck of a stage 🙁 Sprint points on cobbles, clearly a lumpy, shitty road to have the finish on too. Organisers need to shape up a bit.
No lead out for biniam
The polkadot jersey is the only one Jonas has a chance for.
Classic Roglic and Remco.
The team pull it off perfectly.
so it's going to be a great tour etc etc and yet no ones talks about how dangerous the peloton has become? crashes at the beggining of the tour are normal we know that but it is starting to be a bit ridiculous…
Bini is still the man 🎉
How stupid. Cobbles at the sprint.
ሕጂ ናይ ወዲ ሐምቢር ትንተናን ጸብጻብን ክጽበይ እየ።glad you made safe and job well done
Jonas looked strong today. Really on top op the pedals. Well positioned, and started the move that set back the majority of the GC guys except for Pog.
This will be a brutal race till the end.
Wheel spinning after the crash at 1.28😱
Jasper finish stage win photo with powerful display of emotion
That Cofodis rider is an idiot
@3:25 rider in 103 has some bike handling skillz
Contador and the brothers schlek are coocking
Add every days standings please
So dramatic this stage!!!is yes amazing!!! So many crashes
Remco and Primoz taking any leftover suspense out of the Tour in stage 1. Classic
Great Stage 1.
Visma surprise strategy – gains 38 seconds on Remco and Roglic on a nothing stage.
Alpecin sprint train masterclass.
The Uno-X and Groupama riders jammed Bini's teammates from giving him any support, but still posed a strong challenge along the barriers. Strong solo finish by Tony Turgis to take 4th.
PORQUERÍA DE ADOQUINES… MAL TODO… PÉSIMOS LA VERDAD… ORGANIZACIÓN MISERABLE
Jasper the disaster, what a twat of a rider. Zero regard for anyone elses saftey.
Pięknie go drużyna wyprowadziła.
