Hi there.
I've recently bought this seat, second hand, not paying attention to the fact that I haven't got a two rail seat clamp.
Since buying it I've been trying to get a two railer, but to no avail, for I live in the bloody Balkans, and noone's got it.
Is my solution in any way ok? If everything is tightened down, will it work? Do these kinds of seats require a two rail seat clamp?

I have one of these Brooks saddles with springs and dual rails, and it’s a good one, IMO. I believe the saddle is supposed to be mounted on the lower of the two rails for best effect. Good luck!
They’re fine to use. BUT. You do not have the correct seat rail to seatpost clamp. You need this.

I think you need the attachment on the lower bar of the seat and the attachment right side up.
So from the bottom it should be the bolt then the attachment to the lower rail…to what position you like…keep the top of the seatpost just at the end of the attachment band, with a bit of overhang…and the bolt being behind the post, when you look at it.
Then there’s more room for the springs to function without bottoming out on the underside of the seat leather…on occasion it might, but not enough to worry about…depending on the weight of the rider, the size of the bump on the road or the drop off situation…and if the rider was seated or not.
I think if you have to use that one I’d flip it over and mount it to the lower rail.
Those seats scare me – they always look like they’re going to nip something important.
