You take two wrenches that fit the notches where the loosen is, there will be notches on the other side of the axle too, and you turn the side that says loosen in the direction of the arrow.

The hub on my wheel came off by just grabbing it and pulling it off. I believe the part that says loosen is to take the axle sleeve out.

Loosen doesn’t mean pull bro, it means turn. It has an arrow to guide you.

The very many ways of getting a free hub off. It looks like yours requires a pin wrench to go into the pins on the the Ring at the base of the free hub. That ring looks like it’s holding the free hub on.

It’s a screw on axle hub cap, a spanner or adjustable one will do and same for other side to hold in place as you turn, then you can pull the freehub up.

Don’t feel stupid. Freehub removals are not universal. I had a bad freehub and tried forever to figure out how to remove it and eventually resorted to going to my lbs. They actually had to order an Allen wrench large enough to remove it. I think it was something crazy like a 16mm or even 19mm. Bear pawls freehub.
