Mostly finished my rando bike last night!
Shakedown ride with burgers for lady liberty, right?
Anyhow, it was 93 freedom units outside, so at least the burgers didn't get cold. Gave em to a homeless fella, cause I couldn't even stand the idea of stomaching some DBC during the ride. I finished my bidon of diet coke pretty early, so I had to switch to water 😞
Part bin build list:
1987 Peugeot Marseille Frame
Mavic cxp-10 rims laced to Shimano 600 hubs (tricolor) 32H two cross w/DT champion spokes – built by me
700 x 32 Panaracer Pasela Kevlar tires
3TTT 120mm quill stem
Ritchey Alloy Prologic ergo bars
Ritchey RL1 headset
Tektro r539 brakes
Right-hand Rival shifter
Left-hand Apex brake lever
Rival 1 RD
CS-M7000 cassette (11-42)
38T Generic chainring – next to swap, this is too easy to spin out on slight downhills with the substantial weight I've put on with burger consumption, haven't needed bailout gears yet.
Fizik Aliante saddle
Sram GXP bottom bracket
Shimano 105 pedals
90's Cannondale rando bag w/map pack (no eyelet hooks included, so I made my own with some spd cleat spacers)
Spurcycle bell
Random steel 24.4mm seatpost, thanks Peugeot!
Sram Red 22 crank set
Weight without the bidon, bags, bell and gps is 19.5lbs
