Looks like there is a weld right there holding the top tube. Maybe it’s an aluminum frame? In any case, it’s dead and can’t be repaired.

  2. That is an aluminum bike and is now destroyed. A crack in the head tube like that could easily cause a fatal crash. You should have retired that bike long ago.

  3. First, this bike is not made of carbon.

Secondly, I’d you have to ask if you should ride any bike with a crack like this in the frame, please don’t procreate.

It’s aluminum and it’s done. Aluminum can’t affordably be repaired.

  5. Cut that ALUMINUM frame in half so nobody ever rides it

    And recycle it please

What a strange place for a crack in aluminum, the head tube. How did this even happen? Over torqued fork for a while and wrecked the front end?

  7. If that was a guitar it would be fixable. But that’s neither a guitar nor carbon, and also not fixable. Find out if the manufacturer has a warranty and get a new frame. Try not to land so heavy.

No matter what material, a crack like that would be serious and you wouldn’t want to ride it.

Did you ask Gemini to create an image to post this question?

  9. I could see that being a full time trainer bike with a little DIY repair, if you didn’t want to throw it away.

A simple weld should hold enough to allow it to hold a rider weight. You’ve probably been riding it like this for a while with clearly no life-threatening issues.

Hell, I’d sand down to bare metal and throw a couple layers of JB weld all over it. Strip extra parts and toss on a trainer.
