I want to regrease the bearing in this rear hub (the one on disc side, not the cassette side). It’s a novatec hub with thru axle. Do i just open the black part with a wrench or have to remove the disc first? Any thoughts would be much appreciated … thank you

First clean that cassette. The end caps just pull off like DT Swiss. Might take some force but they just pull off.
Those have sealed bearings, won’t be able to regrease, only replace.
