    yes, everything should be compatible.

    although these days, i’m not sure i would drop 450 euros on a 105 mechanical drivetrain (without brakes and with the shitty RS510 cranks…). i wouldn’t pay more than 200 for all of this

  2. If I were you I would look for the best price for single parts and buy them from different shops. What I usually do is looking for people that bought new bikes and replaced the groupset before riding it, those are usually cheap.

  3. It’s probably easier to find a 2nd hand bike that has 11s 105 for 450€, transfer the gear to your bike, move the 6703 over to the other one and sell it.

    I’ve recently bought these exact same components for a new build and I did get them for way cheaper;

    – Shifters and derailleurs: Aliexpress 175€
    – Crankset: Bikediscount 45€

    I had lots of cassettes and chains lying around.

    Those are all the correct pieces to go together, but why?

    That’s a lot to spend to save a few grams in weight. Unless the drivetrain is badly worn out, and most of that needs to be replaced anyway, I don’t see the benefit.

    If you are going that far, I would probably put a new bottom bracket in as well. You’re pulling the crank set on an older drivetrain, makes sense to me to put a fresh bottom bracket as well.

    You don’t have modern shimano dropbar levers that work 3x, except claris. But it doesn’t do 10x, it does 3×9. Chain on 9 and 10 are compatible. Your ultegra and that claris are kinda same, in tech way, shimano trickled down that tech into lower end over time.

    I would just get an inexpensive Chinese shifter. All of them actually work pretty good.
