But when you inevitably puncture you should ask for a warranty replacement.

Try pressing a needle in the tire?
They are not puncture proof, but may be less prone to punctures than an old fashioned butyl tube. I’m not sure if there’s any solid data on this. Same claim has also been made about latex tubes.

If you haven’t tried TPU tubes, try some RideNow from aliexpress. you will be amazed at how far they stretch when you stick something pointy in them. I take them as a spare if my tubeless tire should fail.

My experience with them was that they were incredibly fragile. Definitely not puncture proof. I got grit inside the tyre when changing the tube once, and that was enough to puncture it again. And again

The M1 Abrams isn’t puncture proof. So no.

That’s a bold claim, and untrue! Do they stand behind that claim. Will they replace a punctured tube?

Clearly not – as evidenced by the comments. Must be a marketing overclaim

I have a bag of these that my friends punctured that I repaired and use them for the roller bike

I don’t know if I got a bad batch or what, but I ordered and tried some and had a lot of flats – one “faulty” valve stem that wasn’t tight, one normal puncture, and one apparent pinch on install despite trying to do it gingerly and appropriately.

My Tubolitos got punctured so quickly. I ended up buying a bunch of cheap Cyclami TPU tubes from AliExpress when there was a sale and they’re still trucking in my road and gravel bikes.

Something like Air Plus inner tubes or Tannus Armour would be better for stopping punctures.
If they’re puncture proof then why isn’t everybody running them? Don’t get fooled by marketing

I use the Cyclami TPU tubes. Can buy 3 of them for 1 Tubolito. The Cyclami have metal stems which I wanted after having a plastic stem break on me while I had a slow puncture on a ride. Only 1 puncture in a year riding road and gravel. If Tubolito claim they are truly puncture proof then I would assume they will replace any punctured tube of theirs. (maybe).
tired_fella on
Puncture resistant, but not proof.

I bought a dozen of the plastic stem versions 2 years ago when they first came out and I made the transition away from tubeless, 8k km commute/ light gravel, been riding a similar pattern for decades. Roughly, Butyl 2~3 punc/yr. Latex 5~7. Tubeless 0. TPU 0. Mix of GP5000/GravKings. YMMV.

They are puncture proof like [Keens Sandals are waterproof](https://www.reddit.com/r/LinusTechTips/s/yD6LUvhxyk).
