I have a new bike, all working well. All my previous bikes were Shimano, which I could maintain just fine. Now my new bike has SRAM GX Eagle AXS T-Type 12 Speed Rear Derailleur, I have covered about 800miles and I am getting a strange creak, especially under load, initially though it was the bottom bracket, but after I gave the bike a wash, I noticed lots of dust and grit in the rear Derailleur mechanism. After cleaning it all out the noise vanished. Was riding on the road for a bit today and all good, then moved to a dusty gravel track and after I ended up back on the road the creaking was back. Now home I noticed a small amount of play on where the derailleur is mounted to the frame/ axle. This a new set up for me and I don't know if it supposed to be like that. But I think this is where dirt gets in and makes the noise? I watched the sram install video and can't tell from that.
Any advice is appreciated, the dealer I bought the bike from is 120miles away so not really an easy option.

I doubt the noise comes from that. It looks like not that much play. The noise could come from the wheel spokes perhaps… Or a million other possibilities…
Is it missing the red top hat spacer/sleeve that goes in the frame before installing the derailleur?
But you can stand on it?!
Bugger me Jeeves there’s some play in my deralieuuuuur.
Did you reinstall the bushing frame insert?
Did you tighten down the RD to spec?
I can tell you that my GX RD does not have that issue.
Disassemble and compare with srams installation manual, not that something is missing
