Hey everyone,
Just wanted to share my bunny hop progress .. it’s been a long day of trial and error (and a fair amount of failing 😅), but I’m super happy that I finally managed to get off the ground. I’m 40 and this has been a personal goal for a while now.

I’m still not sure if my technique is solid, so I’d really appreciate any feedback from those with more experience.

I keep hearing that learning the bunny hop should come before jumping or manuals … I still can’t really jump or manual yet, so I know there’s a looong road ahead. But I’m motivated!

Let me know what you think and feel free to share any tips that helped you improve.

  1. Throw you weight back and use that to get the front wheel higher. Looks like you’re just compressing then exploding up

I’m trying to learn to bunny hop myself now and while I still can’t do it, I know in theory what the technique is from just watching videos over and over.

You need to get the front wheel higher which you can do by following through with throwing your body weight back and down where your butt is over your rear wheel instead of just over the seat. This will allow you to have a more level landing too because your front wheel will still be going up as you start to explode upwards.

This is already waaaay better than me so props my man. I think with a few more sessions you’re gonna be clearing obstacles pretty easily.
