I noticed some marks on the stem clamp area, is it just from not torquing it down enough or are those cracks?
They feel fine, no funky sounds but do these usually tend to crack often?

Some would put some clear coat on this, i wouldn’t. Just use a good carbon paste and clamp it to spec.
