Rode from Manitou Springs to the summit of Pikes Peak and back. 52 mile round trip. 8,600+ ft of vertical gain.

Pure climbing for 25+ miles. 6% average below the treeline. 8% average above the treeline. A few 13% segments and a 16% section.

The descent was gnarly. Averaged 30 mph while riding the brakes hard. Had to stop multiple times to cool down the rotors so they wouldn’t warp.

    One of my favorite rides. I do it on a mountain bike though. It is fun either way.

    Nice, I did that a few years ago but haven’t been up there since they did the new visitor center.
