We both agree on $1300. I’m coming from a budget hardtail which has become incompetent for my riding style, so this would be my first full suspension. Is the 2021 Giant Trance any good? I know this would be a massive upgrade from my chintzy hardtail, but is there any red flags you guys see here? I’m stressing whether or not I should I go pick this up tomorrow.

if its the trance x 29 3 with SX eagle and rockshox 35 gold, I personally wouldn’t. I spent 100 less for a bit older bike but with way better components (fox 36 factory, dt swiss ex1501 wheels, GX drivetrain)
I’d say that’s a fine bike if it’s in good condition, but $1300 is pretty expensive; I’d want it to be $3-400 less
The Trance X is an awesome bike. The Rockshox 35 is a bit meh to be honest but GX Drivetrain is solid. There will be some comments saying that you should pay 1000$ max but I can’t find such a nice bike for those prices around here. I would say go for it and try to get him down to like 1200$

No, you could get a used ibis ripmo or Ripley AF on pink bike for a few more than this and have 10x the bike
