I bought a new bike (cargo) and would love to move the hub and lights over, but the new bike has disc brakes. Do I need a different disc specific dynamo hub or can I move this one over? The old bike is a workcycles kr8, the new one is a yuba supermarche. Thanks all.

yea u need a dynamo hub with rotor mounts unless there’s a mount for rim brakes on your fork, then use rim brakes
Nope. Disc breaks need a different hub.
The correct question wouldn’t be “can I…” but “what should I do in order to…”.
I cannot think of any praticable solution which would not involve heavy modifications of the hub with unknown and unsafe outcome.
But someone could have better ideas.
