My chain has been jumping off the cog wheel a lot this year and most recently today it fell off and got stuck (the pic with the bike upside down). I wasn't able to fix the chain mid-ride and when got back home I had to remove some parts completely to free the chain.

I was just wondering is the bigger cog chain already a gooner or do can I just ride along with it? The smaller front cog and the rear cogs look way better.

Ils ont l’air fatigués en effet, changement de chaine et de plateau, ça coûte vite cher.

While photos are not the best test of chain ring condition, your photos show no evidence of excessive wear.

This is not a symptom of worn chain rings. In fact, worn chain rings tend to hold on to the chain *too well*.

Under what conditions has your chain been jumping off the rings?

Is it jumping off all of them or just the big ring?

When it’s not jumping off, does it have any noise? Is the noise in time with pedaling? With a certain part of your pedal stroke?

If you put the chain in the small ring and have someone lift the tire off the ground and spin the cranks, is there any wobble to the movement of the large ring?
