Which generation is this? Wish I could find one for $500. After you buy it ping us where you got it so we can buy the others lol.

If it fits you sits.
That’s a decent price for a decent bike. Try it and if you like it buy it. You won’t regret it.

The ask is not unreasonable. The frame is from 2006, but the wheels and most of the group are 7 or 8 years more recent. I’d offer $400.
Be aware the Zertz insert on that seatpost prevents it from lowering any more than in the photo. Also, that metal piece on top of the seat tube to neck it down to 27.2mm is an absolute unicorn. If you lose it and can’t 3D-print an alternative, you might as well bin the frame. It took me two months and a lot of calls to Specialized to find one five years ago.

It depends what you’re looking for. If you’re looking for a good bike to train and have fun, not breaking the bank, then it’s not a bad choice provided.
It’s a proper road bike, it will be reasonably light and stiff, might not be the most comfortable but should still be tolerable, and is compatible with most modern standards.
Check that damage on the rear triangle irl though to be sure it’s only cosmetic.

It’s an old style but if it’s never been crashed and the frame looks good then that’s a great deal. Many CF bikes people are dumping because of non warranty frame issues. Inspect it. If it fits you then by all means $500 is reasonable.

I would buy this bike for this price.
Offer $400, provided that it’s your size
