Sweaty Cycle commute in London on the hottest day of the year 2025 #roadbike #cyclecommute

My main gravel riding buddy Graham is heading in to the office in Canary Wharf and I decide to join him for a spin on the singlespeed Specialized Langster.

[Music] 23 C’s morning it’s uh just gone 8:00 Thursday morning and uh I’m waiting for Graeme to turn up i’m going to accompany him to uh Canary Wolf again on a cycle commute we haven’t done this since November last year I don’t think actually so yeah I’m on the Langster and uh here’s Graeme morning how are you oh nor did I actually no short section of Growhov nice uh quiet section that takes you from the America at the bottom of uh Worcester Park High Street if you know that to through past the crerematorium and that out to sort of uh Merton I suppose it is All right some nice quiet riding and now we’re out um near South Wimbledon or M A N A N A N A N A N A N A N A N A N A Nabi Mills for those of you that know it if you know it you’ve almost certainly had your car stereo stolen there in the ‘ 90s like I did and here we are down that uh trail beside the wandle that I mentioned when I did that uh trail to nails route wasn’t it the other week here we are here we have the official start of Cycle Super Highway 7 i always feel like they should have some kind of gate marking it like they do in the uh in the French Alps marking the start of a run [Music] so Balum the uh nice art deco station there heat heat [Music] heat heat [Music] ball’s looking great sour make it 80
no no yeah there she blows and there we go that’s my old place of employment for 40 years behind me not that that building’s existed for 40 years and now it’s not Brew Dog or Rocket either um so yeah Graeme’s off he’s looking forward to 10 10 hours of work today and all I’ve got to do is decide whether I’m going to stop the coffee now or later um and I think still feel pretty good we didn’t really push it that hard um on the way in so I think I’ll stop the coffee later i think I’ll probably head to the uh head to the clubhouse that cut me God see if I can clip in onehanded
