Hey everyone. I've got a jumping problem. When I hit smaller jumps at slower speeds (second jump in video), I feel like my technique is progressing; I'm trying to drive through the lip, getting a bit of pop, and feel in control. But whenever I hit anything a bit bigger (and faster), all technique goes out the window and I just "absorb" the take off (first jump in video). I've practice, gone to a couple jumping clinics and watched a bunch of videos but it feels like a mental block. I know there's no easy answers, but what worked for you?

This is 100% a confidence issue. You know what to do, but fear is just pushing you to the back of the bike as you get less comfortable with the size of the feature. The way is just ride more and repeat features getting progressively larger to build that confidence level on bigger and bigger stuff.
Think about how much slower you could’ve gone off the first jump if you would’ve popped like you’ve been popping off the smaller jumps. Big feature doesn’t mean you have to go a lot faster, you still have to give that pop!
Nothing wrong with soaking up a jump. It lets you hit them with more speed and stay lower, so landings off bigger stuff are less harsh. In the first clip, your front tire touched down just before your rear, you looked pretty in control and ready for the next obstacle. I don’t really see any glaring issues there.
Needs more steez
Pop timing seems a bit off… hard to tell, still nice effort and in control… Keep practicing, time on the pedals 😉
