Doing some fitting on my new Speedmax cf7, need a sanity check here from people who work on these more than I do. The horizontal bolts are listed at 10nm, but that just feels like an insane amount of torque on anything involving a carbon seatpost (especially when the clamp is 4nm). It seems like it tapers into a thick solid plate of carbon at the top but still…seems excessive and my hands just don’t want to crank that hard. I have it at 8nm and that feels very very snug already. Am I being overly cautious or do I just send it home to 10nm? I’m not super small (175lbs-ish) and tend to make seatposts move, so I like to push the max torque, just don’t want to destroy this thing. TIA

I’ve always had mine at 10nm. It’s a solid piece there.
