Sometimes life just doesn’t work out. I get the frustration but it’s not the fault of the Neutral Shimano Service or the owner of the van that’s now collected a few (extra) dents.
You could argue it’s the fault of his own team for speccing a too marginal strength chain and not having a team car up there for him, seems a big enough gap to allow one.

Why wasn't his team car behind the break? It should be easier slowing down for the rest of the team instead of trying to pass team cars etc to get to him I believe
