I seriously don’t understand the trouble with inserts. I never had an issue with my Rimpact. Removed it and installed it several times, never had a tannus tho.
Have you tried using zip ties to secure the parts where the insert and tyre is installed? I actually just use one velcro strap and it’s enough to insert the rest.
Idk, there’s plenty of insert instalation hacks on youtube.
I even unseat the tyre (with the insert inside) whenever I want to put more sealant, so that the sealant goes between the tyre and the insert instead of just putting sealant through the valve.
EDIT: with new tyres can be a bit harder but still doable.

In parentheses on the insert it says “CUT”. Are you supposed to cut it and zip tie it back together?

Zip ties or Velcro straps to help. They are notoriously difficult to install. Try to watch some YouTube vids if you still find it difficult

I always wonder why people struggle with inserts! Then again I cut my teeth with moto cross ones! if you’re not jumping up and down on the tyre leaver with them, you’re not getting them in!
You can use cable ties to make them thinner all the way around, just make sure you have the square part of the tie on all the same side. So you can cut them and pull them out
