I have a 12 speed T-Line (upgraded rear cogs to 5 speed) – I'm thinking of getting an extra wheel to swap in without the SA Hub gears and just a 5 speed cassette.
Anyone know what I would need?
I'm assuming:
- Brompton Superlight Advance Rear Wheel for T Line (This is a the superlight Advance (1 or 4 speed) rear wheel as used on the Brompton T Line) https://brilliantbikes.co.uk/brompton-wheels/4869-brompton-superlight-advance-rear-wheel-for-p-line-and-t-line.html
- A new 5 speed cassette built from the Shimano 11-51T
- Brompton SL Advance 4SPD Rear Wheel Axle + Fittings https://brilliantbikes.co.uk/brompton-wheel-spares/4853-brompton-sl-advance-4spd-rear-wheel-axle-fittings.html
TIA to the hive mind!

you ll have to also get a new shifter and or a conversion kit from 4 to 5 gears (brommie+)
Shimano do not make a 5 speed cassette up to a 51t there is no way to fit a cassette that large to a Brompton anyway.
