Looking to get a new bike after mine was recently stolen.

Found a good deal on a used Giant Anyroad for $350. I'm going to be using it on roads like 90% of the time, but will do some gravel riding.

Do you think this bike would be good for that? Also, would it be possible to get a second set of tires for the road? The ones currently on it are more for gravel riding.

TLDR: Is this a good general-purpose bike? Any downsides?

This was an underrated bike mostly because most people thought it looked ugly AF. but if the bike has no dents and the components are fine, 350 is a good deal indeed.

I personally think it’s a good deal. Assuming everything works on the bike, you’re barely getting out of Walmart w a bike at that price. And this is definitely better than a Walmart bike.

Reason you want smoother road tires? Disclaimer, I don’t know dick about bikes. But I have one 🙂 I bought a gravel bike bc it…. It’s good on a lot of different stuff. The tires might become beneficial. Say inclement weather. And no offense, I don’t know anything about you, but you probably won’t notice the benefit/weight difference of a tire swap out if you did one. Most casual riders wouldn’t.

So yeah. Do what you want. But getting a brand named bike for $300 has to be a steal. $350. Whatever. Good luck!

  3. General purpose bike no. Mudguards and rack are hard to install. Travel tires work fine on asphalt. New set of tires (with rims?) will set you back More than the original price.

If it seems solid, and everything works & nothing broken … Go for it
