Never road BMX, didn’t really have the opportunity growing up so now I’m reclaiming my childhood with the “MT-BMX” build lol.
Looking forward to upgrading the drivetrain eventually but this budget 1×10 is a nice entry until I can justify something nicer by actually taking the bike on trails. Hoping to hit the trails with the kiddo some day.

This looks wayyyyyy to simple. Did you just swap without much added effort?

So, what’s the advantage of going to 650B? Is it more about different tire availability? Or does it ride better?

Looks cool and I built a similar bike 20 years ago when I was new at this. It won’t handle well with the high rise bars, 650B wheels are dumb on a 26″ frame.
Secondhand BMX bikes are cheap, highly recommend picking one up to ride skate parks and street. Your bike control will increase immensely.
