Just a quick question. I recently had a DJI Neo drone and whilst it was fun, I had no problem worrying about it getting lost/damaged when on a Bikepacking trip as it's value simply isn't huge.

However, I've recently (and I mean in the last week) moved up to a DJI Mini 4 Pro and now when I fly it I'm just a hot sweaty panic and I can't wait to get it out the sky! I'm hoping I begin to understand it more as it's killing the funnof it completely.

Also, I need to improve my footage. I'm fairly happy with it for a first time but I've seen videos that were so much better. Please have a peruse.

  1. The Stoics and the Buddhists will tell you to either learn to be less attached to the drone or else get rid of the drone. I think any reasonable bikepacker will tell you not to bring anything on your ride that you know in advance will make your ride worse.

None of us want to see this on the trail. Let people enjoy nature while it’s still here.

My vote is not to bring it. Drones really ruin the experience for everyone else.

The sound of a drone is one of the worst things to hear out in nature
