The city’s transformation is unbelievable. When we visited in the middle of the 90ies, my parents almost didn’t recognize it anymore because the facades of buildings had been pitch-black when they last visited (at least in their memories).
And what is shown in the polution diagrams above is the improvements made in the meantime of course.
What boggles my mind though is how other cities don’t learn from the example but actually try to roll back planned bike lanes (looking at you Berlin).
