Hi, my brand new Shimano CUES U6000 drivetrain started creaking after less than 250km. It creaks on every downstroke of the cranks and it only happens in the middle of the cassette, where the chain line is close to optimal. Curiously, when I overshift to the next easier gear and then immediately return to the one I wanted originally, the creak disappears. When the clutch is off, the sound does not appear. My question, is does the clutch need greasing so soon, or the clutch adjustment did somehow increase with vibrations during riding?

You could try greasing the clutch, it can’t really hurt
Another idea would be to take off the cassette, thoroughly clean the freehub and all mating surfaces, regrease, etc. Shimano cassettes are quite finnicky with creaking if not everything is perfect on their install
