I love it, but this hole bugs me a bit.

Yes! Don’t be afraid of it. You’re not going to break it. Stitch it up. Nobody will notice or care.
I’ve had jerseys that I crashed and stitched. Bibs that I had to patch. I’ve even had repaired items sell for decent amounts on eBay when I was done with them.
The thing is that the material is so thin I’m not sure I can stitch it together 🙈
Only solution is amputation.
Time to get new kit, sorry
