Which Marin (DSX 2, Muirwoods, or alternatives?)?

I've tried the Surly Preamble ($2k AUD), the large was nice, but the xtra large was more comfortable to ride. The one issue was the top bar was too high. The Jamis sequel 2 I found the handle bars too close to the seat.

90% of my riding will be on road/footpaths etc, and then 10% will be the occasional light off road trials.

I've found some good deals on Marins locally and am currently considering:
