good morning welcome to a new video it’s been a couple of weeks since my aborted 6008 to uh march on the uh on the F there uh today I’m off down into uh Somerset or North Somerset going to do the peer-to-peer way so I’ve uh put that into a a 200 so uh yeah I was a bit late leaving this morning it was half n by the time I got going a little bit disorganized I’ve uh left me mik at home me gloves but uh heyo we’ll see we’ll have to uh make do but uh yeah so uh there was a bit of a a reason that uh I’ve been struggling of late and uh you know uh a diet related believe it or not so uh you know make sure you uh eat the right stuff I uh in a nutsh is a little bit of nemic so uh I was kind of running on uh bad fuel for one of a better description and uh I’ve had it before so I should have recognized the uh the symptom so uh and I do feel a lot better now actually I’ve uh I’m on a course of iron tablets and stuff so uh we’ll see how that goes anyway yeah so uh it’s a stoning headwind down through the lanes here I’m just outside of uh slimbridge uh just off the a38 which runs north uh through gler from the from Bristol carrier on to wer and then enough into the Midlands oh it’s uh despite being cloudy it’s actually uh quite sticky quite humid right [Applause] [Music] yeah love was holding all the tis and always kept me in the dark I never thought I could shake this heartache until I saw your light and it’s got me feeling like life is good life is good yeah life is good life is good yeah get in my darkest time you got me feeling like I’ve been walking on hello folks I’m down by uh well s Beach is about half a mile to my right uh the I saw that is a mouth and it’s uh business area is probably a mile to my in front of me and uh it is pretty windy I’m kind of shouted here in the trees just come uh along this uh bike path behind me 41 of the Sands it’s actually going to be a bit of a theme today actually cuz uh you know the um P to P route is one of San’s new route so uh yeah we’ll uh we’ll see what that’s like and it’s uh you know uh you know the amount of times I’ve come down and done 200s down this way and I’ve had to go up to Congress spry on the strawberry line and then down the main road for a couple of miles and then back into the lanes and this cuts that that Main Road bit out so uh you know that’s going to be really good I’m really looking forward to seeing what what that looks like and you know it should be a bit more Scenic as well cuz I think the first part of it out of uh clevedon is on the SE sea front as well CCC anyway let’s crack mind I need you well there’s the first of our two uh two Pi today so this is uh Clevon Pier so we’re now on the uh peerto peer way just see the Quant and the th the far distance and then you’ve got uh just see Cardiff over there actually they on car I think that might be mumbles this this uh certainly somewhere different so I think you can see the people over there that’s the uh the seaw wall I think I might be going over that way I definitely haven’t been down here before so that’s great new miles and all that anyway well here we are I don’t don’t want to see now you can see uh I think it’s Q Stoke I think it’s called Uh in the distance you can see flat home and steep home back towards clevedon I have to say C have bought a cracker here really have I think the dog walkers about there will probably uh dis pretty with that statement there was a bit of uh Sarah pus faces and stuff cuz I was riding that bike along here but uh you know they get used to it there was one guy that was like oh I’m not moving for nobody he just like wow wow yeah better than the uh that two the main road that’s for sure so basically I’m going to go off to the left and then along the that hill in front around the uh the Headland the other side and that is Western super [Music] mud on the road I I’ve been away for far too long but now I’m on my way back home I hear the West Winds [Music] calling I’m my name they telling me to head your way down your road and past your gaze keep your eyes on the horizon I was looking to belong when I’d already found my home so far so good this is really good it’s all the biggest dragonfly I think I’ve ever seen cuz there’s all these reads and what have you in the in the Hedge you know and that seems to attract them as you can see you can uh there’s a bit of a choice here uh you can do the coastal path which is what I’ve just done or you can go down on this route uh that just keeps in land a little bit and as you can see peer-to peer way has its own post and everything rout 33 well I’m now uh 6 miles from uh Clevon so I’m just under halfway through the peer-to-peer way and you can tell this is all brand new there’s uh well the gates are all still shiny as as is the posts and uh yeah so we’re on the Western clev and porter head Railway this Mak sense so uh yeah tuts Hill Greenway this is called and uh the guy who I spoke to Jake I think it was the other week said that they basically bought um the farmer a new new uh new bridge to uh allow us to be able to use to cross the river the river yo oh it’s warm today it’s really sticky there’s a easy jet just took off from Bristol LS gate yeah so this bit’s actually tarmaced as well so this is good I’m looking forward to this so that’s T Hill SLO and that’s the river yo yo going off out there to the Bristol Channel eventually yeah there uh some U 938 photos that of uh drain’s going across the bridge uh actually closed in May 1940 so it wasn’t Mr uh beachings uh work clearly not making enough money I would imagine and it started up in um P’s head this line [Music] won’t be long I’m there before the Setting Sun for you to fall into my arms the place I call my home I was looking to belong when I already found my home I was looking to belong when I’d already know that you will be there when the rains are gone like a light in the night you will always be so you can see the remains of the old bridge I never noticed it from over there it pillars are still there so the line would have gone directly across at some point as you would expect with there way line I hope you can hear me so f my uh my um initial thoughts on the uh peerto peer way uh I’m on a bit I know well now so uh you know I’m uh really commenting on the new sort of Link Road link you know between Clevon and uh world I have to say s r have done a cracking a cracking job it’s really good and uh just saves that horrible aoad into Weston which is incredibly busy I don’t mind traffic but that there you know it’s a bit sketch and Al uh when I come down and I usually go into yaten along the strawberry line to this a road then I got two and a half miles of this a road and then I join the lanes which is where this new section comes out on so you know I came into uh I think it was called Eon lane or ebom road which takes me into WHL which is just behind me and uh that is stuff I’ve done many times but uh yeah the Linker part is really really good really highly recommended uh if you live out in the uh this part of the world and uh you know I uh or cudos to uh forr for doing that because uh I’ve tried many times to find a route across and there just isn’t one there wasn’t one let’s put it that way anyway just a few miles now to Western and it’s pier and I’m sure it’s full rles really busy anyway Let’s uh let’s go on at least uh once some at the other end of the sea front I then turn when I should have a Tailwind cuz it’s been pretty strong this this wind oh and I’ve lost the lens cover again on the uh insta 360 so uh although I do have one at home uh I’m going have to stop using the rubber Hood thing on it you know uh I used a little bag that it came with instead I think the only option I’ve got cuz uh this is too expensive to keep replacing them every 5 minutes that’s two I’ve lost now so this is uh burn Pier which is the less rown of the two Western super mayare Piers it doesn’t have the Dodge rooms and stuff on it I think they’re going to there’s rumors about it being rebuilt which would be good as you can see it extends out into the Bristol Channel you’ve got flat home directly behind it and then you’ve got steep home over here and then if we go back you can see Sand Bay there and then on the other side of the channel you’ve got Newport and Cardiff and I can see the uh still works and what have you so I think that was car if I could see from Clevon to be honest anyway let’s go down to the Grand Pier the other one well you know back on the uh New Path as it were and I think I lost my lens cap along here so I’m going to keep my eye open for it it should have survived it’s not like there’s traffic coming along here people on bikes I think it might be on the uh R by the sloes annoying whe it’s like that uh end guard’s gone kept my eye open all the way along there and it’s not I mean I got the camera out here it’s not here unless I’m picked it up I suppose but yeah that’s annoying the owl in the oak Cafe highly recommend that got a coffee and a and a Victoria sponge in there a bit of a impulse thing I had some geese in there that were a bit um f wasy and come up and like P at you and stuff and then they shoot them away eventually they musing when they put them in a different part of the farm yeah so it’s 8K go and and a decent Tailwind so there you go looking back down towards uh flat H I can see there just through the M Sea Mist and uh you the Bristol Channel I can see uh the tides up cuz I can see sandb bars out halfway across there’s the still where it’s by Newport what DEA yes so uh the motorway uh was actually close I’ve come through clevedon and uh petrol station I did stop to get more drink and uh it was absolutely packed out and uh yeah the motorway was sort of stopped you know because of an accident and uh a lot of people are trying to avoid the um you know the back of traffic so the the Valley Road between clevedon and Porter’s head was like really busy of the roof box Brigade you know anyway it’s quite in D now I’ve come up this road and then I’ve got this lovely quiet view to enjoy oh that’s the M5 behind me this this bridge here I’m just taking the uh bike path out to rejoin where I did earlier and then uh it’s at the seaw wall from the S Beach so that’ be a good sign to you know I was uh just glad it’s going to be daylight to be honest anyway let’s crack [Music] on I know a place where we can go and be alone so Come Away With Me Nobody has to know where we going to [Music] go I was just calling to see if you’re free to run away with me to run away with me don’t tell your friends we let them know where safe later [Music] on the road is calling so on not skin sleeping under Stars when it’s gone I was just calling to see if you’re free to run away with me there we are folks second s crossing the Prince of Wales uh Bridge as you can see the uh the Tide’s out all the med Banks and what have you and for is quite busy as well for this time night you can see uh Port his head over there on the uh Horizon and uh a mouth the eyes sore that is run away with me to run away with with me just run away with [Music] me away with [Music] me with me [Music] oh away with [Music] me and there’s the uh Prince Wales Bridge from a different angle traffic going into Wales looks slow if I P around you can see uh the original s crossing the first one uh I believe it’s 4 miles between the two doesn’t look at it I think that’s just size of the old one is uh is is pretty big and yeah it’s it’s uh deceiving you know uh at four miles a glorious evening anyway Let’s uh keep moving I don’t want to be too late getting home really help it so you Fung me in the hamlet of shepperdine and obviously I’m on the banks of the river SN and uh you can just see the uh the two Seven Bridges in the distance they’re a few good few miles behind me now you got chaper and what have you over there you can’t quite see the tank cuz it’s hidden by a me here look yeah I can see the flow of water it’s going out so the Tide’s still going out and then you can see lney over there as I look towards the sort of Northwest so yeah got a good uh good toe in home so that’s that’s a a bonus Frozen in a crowed room full of strangers where are you my love my love will I take your kiss again tell me this is not the end for us for us hey can you hear me wherever you are I’m praying to angels and wishing on stars that we’ll find each other and no matter how far cuz 5,000 miles is breaking my [Music] heart you don’t need to take the plan we’ll make it through well folks that’s another 200 ticked off for the year not particularly fast however I feel so much better and what I have done recently I don’t feel absolutely smashed so uh yeah I think uh I’m on the menend I think I think um regardless doing the 600 I’m going to give it another couple of weeks and then see where I’m at there then um I’m going to have one more go I think and that’ll be that you know I’ll have to accept the fact that I didn’t do it this year um you might wonder why uh try my best to do it uh CU it isn’t the end of the world let’s put it uh let’s put it that way but [Music] uh let’s just say it’s a special anniversary I’ll uh I’ll mention it if if I do it if not have to wait a year um I do need to lose a bit of weight I’m carrying far too much so uh yeah it’s uh all conspired against me this year really I’m worry about it [Music] though anyway I think on that note I think I’m going to wrap it up there and I’ll see you on the next video cheers
