    Ride around and find out!

Over time you’ll figure out what’s right for you, but I can say just make sure you have good waterproof bags.

A wet sleeping bag is no fun.

    Happy trails my dude.

Sleeping bags are bulky enough that I’ve only ever had success in a handlebar bag or a saddle bag. If you run both, figure out which is harder and more fiddly to pack and unpack and put your sleep system, clothes and other things that you’ll only use at the campsite there. Then use the other one for the things that you’ll want to access mid-ride, like food (both to eat or to load when stopping to resupply).
