  1. Did you try loosening the pedal? If you already did that, grab the cleat with vise-grips then twist, don’t pull straight up!

    Stick the longest flat head screwdriver you can find in there and twist out. Have the pedal attached to a bike will help

  3. fully loosen the cleat tension – there is a hex socket screw – then as the other commentor said twist it and it should pop out. Might be easier if the pedal is attached to a bike.

  4. There should be a screw on the far side of the photo sort of in the middle of the pedal. Turn that left until it doesn’t turn left any longer.

    Get a flathead screwdriver and hammer. Stand the pedal up on the spindle or the body, put the flathead on the back end of the cleat (either side of the blue arrows) and hit it, starting gently until it pops out. Maybe also just able to use the driver and twist it out.

  5. put the pedal in a vice, get a long flathead screwdriver, put the blade in the “slot” of the cleat, and apply torque

  6. I would try to use some spare bolts & nuts screwed from the top, then use a flathead screwdriver to imitate the release motion
